Inna Volosevych presented a study of women's employment and welfare, conducted in cooperation with Ring Ukraine, during the business breakfast WELDI “Knowing Your Value” organized by the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine.

Women in Ukraine are more educated than men, but 17% are less often employed, are paid by 24% less, almost three times less often become directors of the enterprises and business owners. This leads to the fact that among women under 64 years old, 31% save on food and/or clothes, while there are 25% among the men. Gender stereotypes are one of the key factors of inequality in Ukraine. As a result, 70% of Ukrainians agree that a woman can be a better manager than a man, but at the same time, she should be: 1) first and foremost, a wife and a mother (67%); 2) stay at home with a child, because it is not normal for a man to do this (47%); 3) not earn more than a man, because it is weird (45%); 3) do all the housework and be a good hostess even if the spouses work equally (43%).
